Levente Malnay

Executive Vice President

AMC Networks Central Europe Kft.

Born on 29 March 1969 in Budapest, his father is an awarded Hungarian film director, his mother was an eye-surgeon, ophthalmologist.

He studied English and German at the Hungarian Eötvös Lóránd University, followed by Harvard Business School's " The General Manager Program".

Levi began his career as a freelance sports reporter for Hungarian State Television during university and joined HBO in 1991, at the company’s first international venture – in Hungary as the third non-American employee. In 1996 he produced the first HBO International local language original content, a standup comedy show.

In 1997, as Executive Director, he launched the country's first music television network, Z+ (a JV between HBO and Warner Music) - later acquired first by VIVA Media, then by MTV Networks. As MTV Networks VP of Central Europe, Levi launched locally programmed MTV and Comedy Central in the region.

At a milestone of his career, he was awarded the Ernst&Young Entrepreneur of the Year "Emerging Entrepreneur" special award in 2003.

In 2009 he joined Chello Media (Liberty Global) to be responsible for the Central European portfolio. Since the AMC acquisition in 2014, he has been Senior Vice President of AMC Networks International.

He was promoted to Executive Vice President Central and Northern Europe in 2017, responsible for the management of 36 linear TV channels from Germany to Ukraine.

Member of the International Academy of Television Arts and Sciences since 2024.
Married, father of three children.
