Aleksander Herresthal is an award-winning producer, format creator, and showrunner whose work has made waves across the international entertainment scene. For over 15 years, he’s been a driving force behind original programming in Norway and beyond. Since coming on board as Head of Creative and partner at Seefood TV in 2008, Aleksander has helped shape the company into one of Norway’s top production companies, working alongside Espen Eckbo and Kristian Ødegård. As the creative engine behind Seefood, Aleksander has been essential in developing a slate of in-house originals - many of which have become national hits and found success abroad.

Some of the standout titles abroad include Kompani Lauritzen, The Know Show, Couples Therapy, Still Looking, and The Box. The Box was picked up in 10 countries, including ITV in the UK and TF1 in France, even before its first season finished airing in Norway. This marked it of the fastest multi-territory launches for a Nordic unscripted format in recent years and Deadline called it “the show everyone is talking about” in 2025.

Aleksander is also the executive producer on the International Emmy-nominated series Santas in the Hay and the children's action-comedy Superhero Academy, the latter which has been acquired in 17 territories. Superhero Academy won the Prix Jeunesse Award and was nominated for the Rose d’Or.
