NATPE Budapest’s Co-Pro Connections program helps original film and television projects get established in the CEE region, a fast-growing media marketplace that’s open to novelty and has a strong appetite for original content, new narrative styles and fresh design.
International projects in an advanced development stage are paired with CEE-based co-production, acquisition and financing executives looking for first-look content opportunities. Projects will be selected for participation based on their ability to open new distribution channels and travel the world.
The program also assists CEE-based producers in discovering global entertainment franchises that can be adapted to appeal to local audiences across multiple demographics and platforms.
Six weeks ahead of NATPE Budapest, projects and franchises are profiled on natpeXchange, the market’s screening and networking platform. Buyers and co-production executives will have access to personal guidance in discovering these properties. Rights-holders that sign up for the Co-Pro Connections program can request matchmaking assistance.
During the market, additional support is available through on-site networking support and access to a restricted area dedicated to curated meetings.
