Daria Leygonie-Fialko is a Ukrainian media manager and producer who co-founded SPACE PRODUCTION in June 2018 with her partner, Kateryna Laskari.
Daria’s filmography dates back to 2008 and includes TV series such as detective show The Water Police, comedy The Ivanovs-Ivanovs, docudrama The Blind and Detective Anna. Projects she has worked on have won major TV awards from organizations including Teletriumph, TEFI and the Association of Film and Television Producers. Daria’s large-scale dance format Maidan's (2011), which she co-created with Volodymyr Zelenskyy, was inducted into the Guinness World Records as the biggest dance show of all time. And in 2021, her series The Last Axel was honoured at festivals in the US, Canada, Japan and Italy and voted Best Sports Drama by major media service MEGOGO.
Last March, Daria co-founded the Organization of Ukrainian Producers (OUP), whose mission is to produce documentaries about Russian military aggression in Ukraine.
Earlier in her career, Daria was a General Director at Ukrainian broadcasters TV-3 and СТС, a Producer in Chief at Ukrainian film company Star Media, and a Programming Director for television channel 1+1.
In 2001, Daria graduated from Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv with a degree in Romano-Germanic Languages and Literature. In 2006, she earned an MBA in Foreign Economic Activity Management from the International Institute of Management (Ukraine-Switzerland). And she became a member of the International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences and the European Producers Club (EPC) earlier this year.
